Money wasted: $100,000

Less than a month after Tom Price’s resignation for taking taxpayer-funded flights, Vice President Mike Pence used tax dollars to travel to an NFL game — just so he could leave during the national anthem, in protest of the players’ kneeling. The purely symbolic act saw Pence fly to Indianapolis between stops in the far closer locales of Las Vegas and Newport Beach, at an estimated cost of $100,000.
