Mistake No. 9: Not knowing your post-0% interest rate
It’s exciting to have a 0% introductory APR credit card and to know that you can charge away and pay zero interest on it for a significant period. It’s important, though, to know what kind of interest rate you’ll face after the teaser period runs out. Ideally you won’t be carrying any revolving debt on the card by then and will be vowing to pay all future credit card bills off in full and on time each month. But if that doesn’t turn out to be the case, you don’t want to be saddled with an interest rate that’s very high. Favor cards with interest rates that are generally below average, whenever possible.
