The wedding industry (and to be completely transparent, I’m part of it) gets maligned on a daily basis. But honestly, it’s not the vendors but the guest list that drives the pricing up. We want to do a fabulous job; to make a milestone day as celebratory, as stressless, as beautiful as possible. Our continuing livelihood depends on that. We want our couples to be happy; their families to be thrilled, their guests to be wowed, but all of that costs money.
A wedding celebration is never a waste of money. The real question is how much does the couple WANT to spend. Not how much they could, but how much is comfortable.
